# Zero-Fee Swap

## **Understanding How Eisen Finance Deducts Fees**

#### Just like any other DEX aggregator(1 inch, Paraswap), Eisen only deducts the fee from the surplus/positive slippage amount.

### ❌ **No platform fees at Eisen**

First things first, we're proud to say that we don't charge any fees on our platform. When you use Eisen Finance, you'll only have to deal with standard gas costs for your transactions on the network. There are no additional charges.

### 💰**Surplus Fees**

In DeFi, prices can change quickly due to various factors, which might affect the outcome of your trade. To mitigate this risk, we collect surplus fees by default. These fees help us grow and maintain our protocol.

All the fees we collect go straight to the Eisen Finance team right now, which is crucial for our protocol's growth and sustainability. It's important to note that we only charge fees when we're providing value that exceeds what's available in the market. We're dedicated to making DeFi accessible to everyone, and that's why we're here. 🚀❤️

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://books.eisenfinance.com/eisen-finance/product-detail/undefined/zero-fee-swap.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
